I really don't know where to go from here. Been in and out of court for 2 years now, for an assualt that happened 7 years ago. 3 guys one knife and me.

One guy offers up a letter of apology. Not in court but privately to my lawyer (he has plead guilty). Says sorry, knows its not enough that nothing is enough, but is sorry. I am soo Lost I just do't know how to deal with this. What do i do? Its not enough, but is it something nothing will be enough. why even drag it up, why do this to me, can't he see it hurts me more?
