i agree...let it kind of fester inside for a few days first...talk to the schools counselor and see what they think.

personally...i have been very open about my attempts. why? because not only does it help me heal...but it helps others as well. when you are in that dark empty place you are scared and alone. you think that no one else has ever possibly been in such a terrible spot as you. ever.

it helps to see that yup...someone has...and they got through it.

many people (outside of pc) tend to think that its always the crazed, seriously ill folks who contemplate suicide. well...i like to tell them...yeah, maybe but i tried many times and came damn close too. maybe god has a plan for me...maybe that's why i am still around.

i think it would help kids to know that they are not alone and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel (and it ain't a train). let them know there are options, and they are not crazy.

its an idea worth looking into...if the school doesn't approve...try the local suicide prevention line/or mental health center maybe they can direct you.
