I take a strength training class in my highschool. (I'm a junior) Last week as an exercise we ran up and down a flight of stairs, then hopped and then ran many more times up the stairs. (Class had only been going for 10 minutes) We went to go get a drink and like usual I was short of breath. One side note is that I am an Achondroplasia dwarf and physical activity is hard for me but I wanted to do it just like everyone else.
Anyways I walked extremely slow to the bathroom, feeling hot and I couldnt catch my breath. I didnt think anything of it because after physical activity I was typically short of breath. I sat down on a bench nearby and told my friend I didnt feel good. I felt like I could barely breathe. I then asked my friend to catch me and I slumped sideways and lost consciousness.
The next thing I remember is waking up still gasping for breath and I told my friend I couldnt hear anything. I thought I was going deaf. Then I blacked out again. After many moments of confusion and blankness I saw one of the faculty standing over me with my friend. She asked me who she was and I answered.
They said I was out for about 10 minutes give or take. It took me awhile after I "woke up"? (if thats the right word) to fully catch my breath. My shirt was soaked from sweat and I felt really hot. My friend told me I was extremely pale and my lips turned blue. All I can remember when I was unconsious was a horrible feeling that I cant even explain. What caused this? Do I need to be concerned? Why did this happen?
One last thing, I dont know if this is relevent but about a month ago I felt really sick and went to the bathroom to throw up. Next thing I remember is being facedown in a thing of sick. I dont know if this has anything to do with my other fainting episode but I felt like it was necessary to supply this info.
I'm just really confused.
