For everything that I understood that Larry wrote, I agree with him. I also see it from the perspective of being older than both of you, I was married to a surgeon for years and years and now I work for a doctor and I'm going to nursing school soon. I keep up. I read, I research and I absorb.
I'll speak to the concerns that I understood. Your psychiatrist was concerned about your problems and was only prescribing what she thought was appropriate for your syptoms. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor and they have the speciality of psychiatry. So, she knows what she's doing.
The pens, the clipboards, the soap, the kleenex, the pen holders, the mousepads, etc. etc. that we receive in our office are given to us as advertising. We have a ton of pens that were given to us by the company that makes Viagra. My employer doesn't treat anyone that would be appropriate to receive Viagra. We still received the pens because the salesman was passing by and stopped in to say hello. Our mousepads are for an epilepsy drug.....we don't see seizure patients. I could go on and on and on. My employer isn't making any money from the drug companies. Nor does he, or my ex-husband, take free trips that drug companies give physicians.
I'm so sorry that you've experienced so much in your short life and I hope that you get better soon. I'm sure your physicians are worried about you as your parents are. Good luck, Pat
