I agree with pegasus.
If you think of it, dissociation DOES help you cope. Right now you are just experiencing more dissociation than an average person. It's ok, you can get better, no matter the dx.
I think pegasus' idea of writing out what your experiences are is a good one. Make sure to mention it early in the session so they can plan their time.
