Moving is hard. Giving up your old life for a new one is no fun at all -- I moved to another country for school and even though I get to go home a few times a year, I still have a hard time reconciling my "old" life and my "new" one. I haven't really managed to figure it out completely, but exploration helped me. Getting as familiar with the new place as I was with the old. I have routines -- I've become a regular at a coffee place I like, I take particular paths to class because I like the scenery, I've got a grocery store and a pharmacy that are now "mine". I think that when you go to a new place, getting yourself settled is a big step to finding happiness there. Maybe go for a walk, take in your new surroundings, see whether you've been missing anything interesting in the new sights and sounds of the place. Find things you like to do, places you like to go. Make it your own, just like your last home was. If you like to volunteer, maybe find out if there are any activities in your area that might interest you, even if they aren't the same as what you used to do. Yes, it's new, and it's different, but it doesn't have to be miserable too.

I know it's tough. Sending lots of hugs to help you through.

Bring on the wonder, we got it all wrong,
we pushed you down deep in our souls, so hang on.
Bring on the wonder, bring on the song,
I pushed you down deep in my soul for too long.
