All drugs have effects, the effects that we don't want we call side effects & unfortunately all drugs have them. Example: Morphine is an excellent pain killer, but the side effects are constipation, itchiness & rapid tolerance.

If you have psychotic symptoms that need medication you can take the newer AP's like Zyprexa that may cause diabetes, take the older AP's such as Thorazine & Haldol that may cause TD, or take nothing at all.
