There is no reason to subject yourself to mean people even if they are brothers. They are no different than anyother people in this world, & if they don't choose to treat you with respect, they I wouldn't bother going near them.

Sounds to me like you are doing a good job of taking care of yourself by staying away from your brother & his wife.

Keep taking care of yourself & don't doubt your being right in the way you are handling this.
