The people that died were already in the hospital, so their immunesystem couldnt have been great
Like mentioned before it's just a new variant of the flu.
But it's like with watching a scary movie, comfortable 'griezelen' as we call it in Dutch. Means something like shuddering, getting the creeps.
Ok... this is my view of the whole hype anyways.
