First Welcome to PsycCentral and the PTSD board,
I am sorry somthing bad happened when you were alone last time - as elysium3006 said can you get someone to stay with you or go with your husband?
Are you seeing a therapist? if so can you talk to them about it? I used to sleep with the TV on all night and the lights on in the lounge room or hallway - I would (still do) check all the windows and doors before I went to bed - I have wind chimes on my doors attached to the handles so if anyone comes in I will hear them - I have my mobile by my bed and a torch in case the lights go out - do what you can to make yourself feel safe

When you have come to the edge of all light that you know and are about to drop off into the darkness of the unknown,
Faith is knowing One of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly.
