Such a terrible thing to happen! But I'm equally concerned that you feel so trapped living there. That is no way to live, and no one is required to live that way. Why do you think you allow his desires to override your own? Why is he allowed to act like he does and get "away" with it when you aren't allowed to make such an adult decision? Why isn't there balance and love in this relationship, do you know?
You don't have to answer...but don't you find it ironic that you were able to advocate for safety because of your niece, about the dog, and yet you haven't even done that for yourself?
