We never know how long any relationship will last. Some relationships are limited to a certain setting or group of people but we can still have genuine feelings within that setting. i'll tell ya somethin' tho...

i met my best friend and soulmate on an online support group. We live on completely different "ends" of the planet but i love her with all my heart. We talk twice a day online (IM) and we've spent 2-3 weeks together six different times over the past five years. We're committed to each other and, because we both can get triggered, sometimes have to work through little kid feelings but, because we're committed to each other, we do make that effort.

i share that not to say that everyone can have such a special relationship but to say that anything is possible. Sometimes people use the word "love" a bit too liberally but sometimes they are completely sincere. Me...achingly sincere.
