There's no conspiracy, it's what we tend to believe when we are not doing well, negative thoughts trigger more negative things, like a snowball effect.
I agree a lot with some of the things Larry Hoover just replied with.
When I'm not feeling right, I too, have made remarks like yours, it's just a natural response many of us have when things become overwhelming.
Pharmaceutical companies, the research, (if you only knew) create products to better mankind and animals, and most products work effectively, which in turn of course creates profit.
Some of what you said may have been true, and happened, salespeople pushing the sales of their companie's meds. and/or products., but there was a huge crack down many years on this, and the salespeople and docs are watched by state government, etc.
Our drug stores even keep an eye out for docs that seem to prescribe certain meds in quantities. I mean the amount of patients, when I said quantity.
There is a lot of things that go on, for our safety, that sad to say the general public is ignorant to and just tout all this negative, paranoic, "conspiracy" nonsense that plagues the internet, etc.
Research both sides before rallying on about conspiracy, and I say this to all not just you. Please, research.
I mean no offense to anyone, just want to shed light on the whole picture.
Positive outcome for most of us patients and their pdoc, requires effort by both, working together, and finding what med.(s) and dosages are right for the patient.
There are many good medications, that didn't even exist back in the early '60s (yeah, I'm an "elder") thanks to the pharmaceutical companies and their expansive research.
I wish you lots of luck with your struggles.
