So that job pays 375 per week which is amazing for an internship.
Well i was just notified that i can't do both the internship and summer school - has to be one or the other. They arent going to work with me at all like they said they would. And if I do the internship and not summer school I end up staying an extra year! But if I do summer school they wont let me do the internship - and I HAVE to do summer school.
So pretty much I lost a job which was going to be about 1500 bucks per month and an internship with the dept. of natural resources. what am I supposed to do? I feel like everything I was looking forward to is gone now. Im still going to be struggling to get by working 2 jobs like always. i just want to break down and cry.

I have to be honest with you - work experience is priceless. If this internship is in your major area or in a field you wish to enter when you graduate. Go for it. It might be better for you to graduate a little later any way (give the economy some time to recover before you enter this scary world). Take out loans if you have to - or work extra hard during the school year - whatever it takes. Think about it - when you graduate, you will be competing with tons of other graduates with relatively similar credentials. On top of that, you will be competing with thousands of people who have been laid off but who have a multitude of work experience. If you can get work experience and a degree (even if it is a year later) it is worth it. Right now I, as a nurse, am struggling to find a job because hiring is cut in half and even though I have an outstanding academic record - I do not have the work experience to set myself apart.
Go for it! <3333 Or I would any way. Good luck on your decision. Whatever choice you make will be the right one for you - know that is true in the end of it all.
