I had a weird reaction to Trazadone last night. I used to take it about 10 years ago for depression. One of the best things about it was that 50 mg of it used to knock me out cold. Lately, I've been having a really hard time sleeping, so I asked my doctor for a Trazadone prescription. I took 75mg and got sleepy but at the same time I got that "caffeine feeling," where your body's tired but your mind is too wired to sleep (I've cut caffeine out completely, so it wasn't due to anything I ate or drank). I was up until 2am and could only sleep after dissolving Benadryl under my tongue. Can one's body chemistry change like that? I was SO looking forward to getting a good night's sleep... any tips? (even with Benadryl I wake up in the middle of the night and obsess about bad things happening to the people around me). Thanks for any feedback! Lauren.
