I'm so sorry to hear about this. It must be so hard to deal with. Know that this was not anyone's fault, and that your compassion to feel so much for the deer is wonderful. I think that either a note in the grocery store or in the paper would be a great idea. Isn't it nice that there still are people who care around? Society needs to acknowledge people like that who are willing to stop and help someone in need.
