Peanut - you are absolutely right - thank you for reminding me of the person I want to be.

This is not really about the teasing, but one thing... I believe that not clicking on his posts would have been futile... he interjected into Fuzzy's topic about "a picture of your depression" with a lead-in to his cure for addiction and depression without drugs. It had nothing to do with Fuzzy's question. I deleted his post (yes, it was me) because I had read some of his posts on another mental health forum, and was concerned about the direction I was afraid Fuzzy's thread would take. Just so y'all know... it really wasn't a concern about non-medically-sanctioned treatment... I just couldn't think of a better way to phrase it. So, my concern is that other people's threads would get just as disrupted as Fuzzy's wuz (lol). Most of us are here for serious support, and my personal belief is that those who are asking for serious support should be given full attention -- the posts not diverted into a discussion about how we can cure ourselves.

Most of us are not mental health experts, except with regard to ourselves. We can listen, we can share experiences, but preaching isn't cool. I haven't seen it happen here before now, but that's where it was going.

We DO have a great family here - and I am always impressed at how many members here jump to welcome newcomers. The moderators rarely intervene. Just so you know, while the other post was developing a life of its own, the mods were frantically trying to figure out the best way to handle it without hurting his feelings or being unfair or biased. I'm sure Lou feels we were out to get him, but believe me -- but we really tried to give him a chance to participate here. It was pretty insulting to be distrusted and accused of a "moderator conspiracy" (thanks Vett, for sticking up for us, by the way), as if we were The Man -- or that we are secret double agents for a pharmaceutical company -- but hey, it said more about him than it does about any of us. I have very rarely seen the moderators censor anything - most of the time, you'd never even know they were moderators, except for the little M below their names. Just supportive, caring friends, who need our support as much as we need theirs.

I'm done - sorry - had to get it out.

LMo

ps - I was really enjoying your thread about "a picture" until the detour, Fuzzy - can we start another one and pretend all the nonsense hadn't happened? It really was a great thread!!!

We are ALL going to be a-ok!
