I understand your feeling about your pal....there isn't anything like a dog's love for his person. I never knew unconditional love until I got my first dog 10 years ago...the cutest little white fluffy ball, my American Eskimo puppy. The closeness grows daily & then comes the realization that they are way more than just an animal. At times I even have a wonder if there is such a thing as reincarnation because there seems to be a person inside that little white coat. I now have 11 little white fluffy children that I just couldn't live without.....When the subject of divorce comes up, so does the subject of custody...neither of us could live without them....& I can honestly say that since they have helped me get through my darkest times. I owe them my life & nothing else could have accomplished that except for the love that came from them.

I'm glad you have wonderful memories to keep you until you see each other again.
