Hi Tishie...
I'm sorry you're head is getting NASTY!! I hate it when mine goes that way too!!
I have felt like hitting someone/something before too. When I feel like this, sometimes I grab my pillow and I wail on it for a minute or two, or I turn on some EMINEM and jump around my living room and sing along for a while.
Sky's idea of exercise is good too. That can help, but also, try not to be afraid of your anger and the nasty feelings and thoughts. So many times we are taught that these thoughts or feelings are bad. Try not to judge your thoughts and feelings. It is OKAY to feel this way!! Anger and frustration are healthy emotions and feelings to have, it's the negative actions people choose to take when they feel these things that is not a good idea.
I did DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and Marsha Linehan (Founder of DBT) says to visualize your emotions as a train, each box car a different emotion. Now, picture yourself sitting on a hillside just watching the train go by. Now you have a choice...you can get on the emotional train, and allow your emotions to rule you , or you can sit on the hillside, notice them, validate them within yourself, and let them roll on by. If you like, I will sit on the hill with you and we can make wreaths and bracelets out of grass flowers!!
This visualization has helped me a lot. Your feelings are okay!! Even the angry, nasty ones. Don't judge them as good or bad. They are what they are. Just notice them and let them go!!
It's hard to do...but I thought I'd pass it on to you, as it's helped me tons!!
Take care!! (if okay)
