Well, I live in an area that has been in a drought for 3 years so I do love them because they tend to bring a lot of rain However, we also get an unbelievable amount of lightning strikes so there is a scary quality to them too. Lightning likes us so much that, unfortunately, there have been incidents of people being struck while enjoying the beach on a day that is sunny with storm clouds merely approaching.

I am hard of hearing and I don't hear rain at night since I don't have my hearing aid on, but when there is lighting that wakes me up each time it flashes! grr lol

My cat does NOT like thunderstorms. I feel bad when he's home alone when they happen

Then there's the hurricanes...
