I put a trigger on this, because I'm asking some questions that might upset some people, regarding some guys' attraction to girls in their teens.

My cousin feels that there may be something biological in men that makes them desire girls who are just coming into puberty, or who haven't been in it that long (say, under 18), perhaps because of fertility issues. He says there has to be a reason that many cultures have had very young girls married off, often to much older men (in their 20's or even much older). For instance, in Yemen, girls as young as 9 are eligible to be married. He points out that the sex trade being so successful proves that there is a high demand by men for young girls, and thinks it might be natural. He himself has pointed at teen girls and talked about how hot they were. It disturbs me, but I do wonder about other cultures and how, even in U.S. society, men will often comment on teen girls, even sometimes make "jokes" about very young teens.

It also makes me feel like s**t as an older woman (41), but that's another issue altogether.
