I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's due to the change in metabolism that the AP may cause.

So, go to regular blood tests that your doctor should recommend to make sure nothing is going wrong with that.

Otherwise, I guess there are just the normal preventative measures from diabetes, such as keeping your weight healthy, not eating too much sugar, plenty of healthy veggies, fruit, carbs, protein. Just a sensible diet and exercise.

I will have a look for any other evidence of other things that may help though, and let you know if I find anything.
