I read your post with interest. I have been diagnosed with DID for 15 years and in continuous treatment almost that whole time and although I feel like sometimes I am not a part of my surroundings, that I am looking through a sort of fog and the colors of things seem off, I have never experienced what you describe. Sounds uncomfortable.
