In memory of those who served & who came home heroes but whose lives were so hurt by the trauma of the war they went through, that their hero status & respect they deserved was lost when they found it impossible to find their way back to living a normal life again.
Also remembering those who have served & have lost their lives while protecting the freedoms that have long been fought for in this country & remembering those who are still serving & those who are still fighting for those freedoms so we won't loose them in the future.
I have two 3rd cousin relatives, brothers (which is about all the family I have left ) who are serving in the military & have been in Iraq & one who is there now. One is the Army & one in the Marines. The pride & respect I feel for the men & women who are serving in our military, determined to protect us from those who are wanting to destroy the freedom which our ancestors have fought so hard to maintain is impossible to find the words to express.
May they all receive the honor & respect that they deserve for their courage & bravery...those of the past & those of the present.
Thanks to all who have put their lives on the line & those who have lost their lives for our freedom....it has come at a high cost from the very beginning when our country was first being formed....let us never forget that freedom does not come without such a cost & to continually be thankful for those who are able & willing to put their lives on the line to insure our freedom.
America the Beautiful may we continue to enjoy that beauty surrounded by the freedom we have fought so hard to maintain.

Debbie
