Well... I'm so sorry... I didn't mean to step on any toes.
I do realize that this movie is a Hollywood production and therefor can't be seen as the absolute truth. All people are different and those having the same diagnosis have it in their own individual way... We have all lived our own separate lives and no one can take on what we've lived through. But knowing 2 very close friend who both have DID with several alters... I can see a lot of similarities between their real life today and a lot of the aspects in this movie.
This is my personal opinion and I'm not trying to make anyone else think like I do. I'm not like that. I just believe that there are things to learn from this film even if it isn't completely correct in every way.
Maybe it was wrong of me to think of the movie as a help to understand DID... maybe you need to know someone with DID or have it yourself to know what to believe in and "take to heart" in this movie. To only watch the movie is not enough to bring justice to this condition.

Once again - I'm sorry of me posting this in a bit of a clumsy way.

I guess I'm trying to get my hands on everything concerning DID right now, since I'm trying to come to terms with myself having it. It's one thing to see DID in a friend or person you love, than it is seeing oneself in "a similar place".

Humbly
