Yes, I take advil (or ibuprofen) and try to avoid 'liver damaging' drugs like acetaminphin....I usually take like 1000mg for the pain in my legs, and feet. But I've never tried Alleve...as Advil works fine for me....I don't have arthritis, just pain, and I know it is from my depression symptoms...
Most antidepressant drugs claim to decrease these symptoms....but I've always had problems with peripheral pain in the limbs no matter what med I was on...So I take ibuprofen when the pain is severe....but only during 'the bad' episodes....because toxic effects can occur from overuse....If the pain gets too severe you can go to a prescription med given by your Psych....
