103 miles????!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy Cow!!!!! That is such an accomplishment, congratulations!!!
One technique I use when I am feeling down about my body (I am not skinny at all) is to remind myself about all of the wonderful things my body can do, and how it gives me pleasure. It allows me to do the thing I love most in the world - dance. It has gotten me thru college softball and field hockey, it allows me to walk wherever I want, it allows me to hug whoever I want. It provides me with great pleasure.
When I look at it that way, I always feel better. Who cares if I look chubby in my spandex? My body allows me to do the things I want to do. I think of people in wheelchairs who would love to dance like I do, and wouldn't care one iota how chubby they were.
Also, have you ever hugged a really skinny person? Not too pleasant, all skin and pointy bones. My husband says he loves to hug me because he can hold on to me. Just think how wonderful you are to hug!!!!!
