Getting to Our lady of Holy Cross would be a trek for me, even though looking at a map its not that far. I dont' have a vehicle thats reliable to get me out of St Bernard. And i'm scared to drive it even here. I would have to find some place closer.

oh bummer. i wondered about that. it says there is a chalmette-new orleans ferry but yeah you'd need a good car i'm sure. supposedly it takes about 30 minutes to get there and it's directly across the river from chalmette.
some day i'm going to get to new orleans. it sounds like such an interesting city. i didn't realize things were still so bad for katrina victims. i knew there were a lot of problems but i figured people had the basics by now. i hope president obama will do more for all of you. take care.
