I'm going to be in my 3rd year soon once September rolls around and I'm confused. The reason for this is that in my summer course of 2nd year statistics, each time I learn a new topic, I want to go in it more. Currently I'm enrolled in double major biology and psychology with a minor in chemistry (minor is going to be dropped, so might as well consider it non-existent). But I also want to do theoretical physics, and at one point in time considered a major in mathematics. I opted out of it for family reasons and because I felt it'd lead to nowhere that I'd like as a career (i.e. teaching). But now with this course in statistics, I want to do math and/or statistics, however, my skills with computer science and programming are, well, next to none.

I don't want to take more than 5 years (4 year program but I'm going for 5 anyways) so I can graduate when I'm 20. I'm very interested in things like neuroscience, neurology, etc... .

I haven't been tested for this, only been told by many people, some of whom were doctors but I'm still doubtful on this, of having something close to a photographic (or edeitic [sp?]) memory. I doubt I do because of the rarity of it and I'm not good when it comes to remembering dates of things, however, something like anatomy of the appendicular skeleton of a human, I can memorize rather quickly and label a diagram of it very well or a set of statistical numbers or theoroms, etc... in short time but very accurately. When I go to recall them, it's almost as if the image of whatever it is in infront of me, just in my head. So I want something with lots of memorizing and unfortunately, that is one of the downfalls with mathematics. I memorize the theoroms, derivations and methods to solve certain problems but when a question deviates, then I have to try and see which "matches up" with what I've memorized. Unless it's too complex, I can usually figure it out. but my grades with mathematics are lower than for biology and psychology courses, yet I feel if I don't do them, I'll have this nagging pin in my side. I've tried teaching multivariable calculus to myself from the internet and it's working somewhat but I'd prefer to be taught by a professor.

However, I don't want to toss in a bunch of math courses because my schedule for the future is going to be very packed as it is, which is consisting mostly of neuroscience courses, some abnormal psychology, forensic psychology, physiology and anatomy, as well as a social science credit for geography.

It's like I just want to learn whatever about the topic as I can and end up veering off-topic from what I was studying previously. However, when I do focus on something, I can study for hours on end, read very fast (not sure how many words per minute), etc... .

Anyone else in a similar situation or have a diagnosed photographic memory or just an extremely good memory?
