Perhaps this won't mean anything to anyone, but I was reading a book and the final page the author said "we begin mourning the loss of our mothers before we're even born",

It was like "wow, what a powerful thought", for me I struggle with finding my own sprituality. I guess being abandoned at birth and loosing that "first" spritual expereince, I've lived with a hole much bigger than necessary, but something about this statement empowered me, made me feel entitled to my own thoughts and feelings and not just "that" baby that was handed around to fill other peoples spritual holes.

For the first time I had this sudden intense feeling of something "bigger" than all of what has happened to me in my life, a real satisfying feeling. The charactor in the book was himself adopted so perhaps thats why It hit me. But none the less, its a really interesting angle on who we are and perhaps who we do and dont belong too????
