Lady D (and all)....
I think that all the active members on this board have a history of doing the honorable thing and supporting one another. This site is a welcome outlet to share, get advice and get the support that we otherwise may not be able to get. Lets not have the recent events undermine that history or undermine this site.
We have all made mistakes in what we have posted on this forum. Moderators have made mistakes in how they have handled situations. We are all human, we are going to make mistakes. But by and large the intent of the people on this board is honorable. I always tell my kids is not that you make a mistake, its what you do to fix it.
Clearly many people on this board are divided about the controversy over a recent poster. It seems that some feel that the poster's intent is not honorable. And, in fact, that their primary purpose is to upset the integrity of this board. If indeed that is their intent this ongoing divisiveness will enable them to achieve their purpose. Are we all going to allow someone to take this board away from us and rip us apart when we have all been there for one another? I hope not.
Many people on this board have been true to their kind and gentle spirit and have opted to take the position that everyone needs a voice and needs a chance. This approach is admirable to say the least. However, I think I have yet to see any evidence from the poster that they are sincere in wanting to truely contribute anything meaningful. That is my own opinion. And, when a poster comes on claiming to be someone else that is clearly not an honorable approach and their intentions must be questioned at that point.
I think the moderators were only trying to do what they felt was the proper thing to do. You may disagree with the approach or action. That is your right. Such disagreements should be posted in a respectful and civil manner as not to further perpetuate this "cancer" that has infected this board.
It is also clear that moderators have information that we are not all privy to. I think that we should give them the benefit of the doubt and place our trust in them. For if we do not trust one another amongst this on-line family then we have lost everything.
