If it makes you feel any better...

A few years ago, my dad decided to "treat me" because I wanted to get my hair streaked. New to this whole thing as I was, I decided I wanted two different colours of streaks in my hair (which does cost a small fortune). I got "foils" since it's easiest for me and less chance of allergic reactions (the cap used during other streaking jobs is likely latex).

Well, my hair is normally a "dirty blonde" colour.

I wanted it streaked a lighter blonde, and a redish colour (although in my hair, I know that red NEVER stays long enough in my hair!!)

So I get it dyed.

I wind up with:
My regular blonde hair...

With WHITE BLONDE CHUNKY HIGHLIGHTS and BRIGHT RED HIGHLIGHTS!!

Now, trying to imagine this is likely hard...

But, imagine yourself looking like a Canadian Flag.

Honestly. I looked basically patriotic, celebrating my country's colours.

Thankfully it was July so it was a good excuse!!

The red faded out within a month, and the white took forever. And I vowed to never do that again. Usually when I do temporary dyes now with red though, my lighter blonde ends wind up - PINK! Especially when the colour is fading out. *shudders*
