Thanks an awful lot, Amazonmom and Berries! You made me feel quite normal and acceptable. I like the idea of bringing pamphlets from the doctor's office to educate him. I think that maybe the way to go for me. Even have him accompany me to the doctor's office/appointment one time if things eventually get rather serious. I was thinking I could lead him into this by telling him that I have had issues with depression for a number of years and take medication to manage the depression, then the explanation about the bipolar can come.
