I had a thread a while back on people's termination stories. I was looking for people who had terminated amicably with their therapist (not because the T was incompetent or because the T terminated them). I wanted ideas for how it can end well--positive models and visions for me as I get closer to ending therapy. There were some good ideas and stories there. These are distinct from the "flip side" termination stories that people tell where it did not end well (client was terminated with no warning by T, unilaterally, with unresolved feelings, etc.).
