I stopped thinking of it as a journey. Journey to me means there is a destination. My belief is there is no arrival at some magical place.
I do believe we walk a path of recovery, our solitary path but with those parallel to us...ready to catch us when we falter, and we catch them when they falter.
Yeah, we do hit speed bumps that can bring us to our knees. It's part of the PTSD and in a strange sort of way it is normal for someone in recovery.
Natural? No wise words on that...
Again, jme, but I don't find that grounding techniques are static, therefore they will not be "natural." They will grow as we grow in feeling secure; they may diminish when we are in a rough spot. As with anything else in life, some days are better than others.
