A lot of depression is anger from being hurt, anger that we feel scared to face. So, feeling and expressing anger is a good thing for people who have been hurt by abuse. Try to put the anger on the bad people from your past. Turning anger on yourself hurts you and doesn't do anything good for you. I have a plastic bat and I have been know to attack rubbermaid trashcans with my bat. It is noisy and makes me feel better.
Getting angry at you means you are doing the bad people's job for them. I really don't think you want to cooperate with the mean people who hurt you. hugs,
