I don't have any clear thoughts in regard to the voice although in some of our earlier discussions I've suggested that the darker aspects of your daimon-lover could represent the negative animus. As an observation however, it occurs to me that if you have been a devout Christian and you have an experience like that -- an experience you had likely never heard of and therefore, had to come up with your own understanding -- something like that could really mess with a person's head.
