Just another tidbit, as with anxiety, anger or hypervigilance with a physiological impact will effect the digestive system. When you go into fight or flight, adrenaline is released, all the blood rushes to your extremities to prepare your muscles for action, your digestive system shuts down, your senses and reflexes heighten and your body goes into "lockdown" to prepare itself. This happens in seconds. Your body also releases cortisol to buffer organs, muscles and soft tissue from the toxic effects of adrenaline. You must get rid of the adrenaline to avoid the reaction of lactic acid in the muscles(cramping).
Perpetual feelings of fight or flight can lead to digestive disfunction, adrenal fatigue and other nasties........good to meditate or RUN until you fall over.....not fall over but you know what I mean
Ah a wonderful evolutionary instinct from our Neanderthal brethren......kept us alive all this time!!!
