Okay so from what I am hearing:

  • Everyone thinks its a great idea
  • However, some of those people still would not come
  • Some of those people would not have time to come
  • Some of those people it would depend on the time of day
  • some of the people cannot get into chat for tech. reasons
  • it might be a good idea to post a reminder the day before and day of
  • for some it would depend on their mood
  • for some it would depend on what time it is held
  • for some it might be too much to handle with the issues they are facing.

What I WILL be doing is TWO scheduled social chats. One will be geared on a weekend(when most people are off work) by Eastern Standard Time. The other will be geared on a weekend by European/Aussie time(european) so that our aussie, english and other friends may join us.

does anyone else have any points or suggestions to make before i start making plans?

How does this Friday at 8pm Eastern Standard time sound for the first informal social gathering? Aussies and English and others, yours will come too. I just need to implement this slowly.

So for those who would attend, are you free at that time? I will be opening and running the chat in a chat room called "Meet and Greet" at 8pm EST.
