I would NEVER reccomend Topamax to anyone. you may lose weight but your mind will feel like it is going through sludge. That effect starts happening around 200 mg. I took Topamax for over a year and as soon as I stopped taking it I noticed a huge difference in my thinking ability. I truly feel like I am smarter now. If you can, don't take this medication. Also, if you ever plan on getting on birth control you are screwed. Topomax lowers the efficacy of birth control at 400mg and gynocologists tend to get very pissy when they have to deal with meds like Topamax.

DON'T TAKE IT, but also tell your doctor your not taking it and don't stop it suddenly- it can cause seizures. Yuck.
