A few weeks ago I was sick, and I emailed T and told her I was sick and asked if she had a preference about me showing up or not. I had been feeling run down for 2 weeks, and had been to the doctor and it wasn't helpful, but I was still going to work because I couldn't afford to take off that much time. She said she doesn't tend to get sick (there's no contact with anybody else), so it was fine to go. And she offered sympathy for me being sick. But I wasn't very able to make use of the session, and I needed rest, and driving across the state to see T pushed me over the edge into really being sick so then I did have to miss work for a couple of days because I had a fever and wasn't able to function. So it was nice of her to let me go even though I as sick, but not what was best for me.
Not being sick is really nice though, once you actually do get your energy back and feel better.
