A word of great caution, inkblot....

Meeting ppl online is great. I've befriended some great ppl online and have maintained a great thing with several all over the globe. However, anyone who asks you for money, especially within the initial meeting is someone who you should NOT respond to in haste.

Spend time with the person. Get as much info from that person as possible. If this person is requesting money from you, then you are entitled to get ALL information about him that you can from him. Check out the credentials of his place of education. Full name. Learn of his family, friends, profession, hobbies...anything you can to validate his character.

Do yourself a favor and do not jump into this so quickly. Take your time. Learn of the person.

Gawd. I can't help but to see all these warning lights goin off...And I'm not a suspicious person.
