A lot of docs prescribe anti-psych. to help us. For some reason, I guess, it helps balance out the stuff going on inside. It does NOT mean you are psychotic. A truly psychotic person wouldn't ask that question. Just like they found anti-seizures meds seem to help those of us w/ DID. Don't know how, just works w/ the chemicals in the brain.
I liked Seroquel, had no side effects. It knocked me out w/in 30 min. I used it a few years back when I couldn't sleep at night. Now we have a system going in the Body so we all can sleep at a reasonable time so we don't need sleep meds (much anyways!)
