Kathy, Rhys just reminded me that sometimes antidepressants are used to treat people with chronic pain. I don't know how it works, but it does. A lot of people balk at the idea of taking an AD when they aren't necessarily depressed though. I'd try to put it into that context. It could just be an off-label use. If it helps you function better, I'd try to get everyone on board with it. I'm sure that's difficult. I have a hard enough time telling myself to stay on ADs when I think I don't need them full time, and I only have one of me pulling the strings. (Well, OK, that inner voice likes to be a nuicance sometimes and tell me I'm weak for needing meds, but I just try to shoo her away
