I take seroquel and respirdal, both are antipsychotic meds. Sometimes these meds are prescribe for reasons other than psychotic symptoms. For example seroquel are sometimes prescribed to help deal with insomnia. It is not as addicting as other sleeping pills like valium.

I find that taking these meds help me stay more 'grounded' and sleep better. They help control my anger and other 'bad thoughts'.

I do agree that you should ask your doctor why he/she prescribed seroquel to you. I'm sorry if you said this already, but do you find a difference in whether you take the med or not? Does it help?
