I already knew you were a good-hearted lady, Pom, and of course you were speaking out of concern for Jay.

I stepped in mostly to remind you (and maybe Jay, if he even needs any such reminder) not to let that existential/ontological/mystical stuff freak you out too much. I happen to be at home with it myself and know (or at least know of) many others who are, too. I'm sure many more would think we were plumb nuts if we were to say too much about it in the wrong place.
