I went to the ER once, someone dragged me there. It wasn't any professional reccomendation and I had no diagnosis, so they made me sit around awhile, did a really long and boring psych eval. gave me some ativan and an appointment with a psychiatrist...I suppose I forgot to mention that they wanted to have me stay awhile, but there is no way in hell that I'm staying in any psychward unless I'm so ******* crazy that the law gets me, but that probably won't happen since even at my worst, I know what to share and what not to share legally.

But, considering you're listening to your therapist, perhaps you're going to get yourself into the psych ward...guess it's okay if you're suicidal or think they'll help you stablize with your meds...It seems unpleasant though...if you want to get out and they decide that if you try, they'll simply section you, then perhaps don't try, become excruciatingly complacent and obedient and depending on your age, gender and life situation, claiming everything was a mistake and using proper logical reasoning with the doctors will help...(advice from my husband and friends who happened to get themselves locked up.)
