my bf loves it when i grab him and throw him on the bed. I think maybe he wants to be more aggressive with you but doesn't know what his limits are. Like I don't think he necessarily wants you to start making him lick your boots or anything. But maybe next time tell him that you want him to tug on your hair a little. Just playing around with positions can be fun and "aggressive" too. (sorry if this is too detailed or too much for this post) but one time my boyfriend and i were having sex and he was on top, which can get a little boring after a while. So I asked him to kneel back as I went into a backbend. Granted, I did gymnastics and dance for years so that's nothing for me to hold for a while but anything that's just switching it up. Plus, men are very visual creatures. So any position you can come up with that lets him look at every possible inch of your body is going to be good for him.

Guys want to know that they feel good for you and that you enjoy it. If they don't think you're having a good time, they wont have one either. So I agree that I think he just wants you to be more "into it". He might even be satisfied with some moaning/groaning or yelling (if it's possible).
