The surgery center where I get my Orencia infusions just called. Tribal Health hasn't paid for the ones I have gotten, and they won't do my scheduled infusion tomorrow without authorization of payment. I asked them what I was supposed to do (how the hell should I know?) and was told to call my referring rheumatologist. I was given a name I have never heard of, who is 2.5 hours away from the rheumatologist that I /do/ go see. Its noon (lunchbreak) here now, so haven't been able to get ahold of anyone.

When I got prescribed Orencia in the first place, I talked to a lady from tribal health, and she said everything was fine/in order for me to go ahead with the treatment. So what the hell is wrong all of a sudden? I've had 4, its been 2 months...why was it just caught now?

I'm so sick of tribal health and their ineptness Just like last Friday when I went to my rheumy and went to check in and was told they hadn't gotten payment either, and they had no authorization number from tribal health--even though I called tribal health the beginning of last week, and was told it would be in and everything was fine.

Looks like I'm cut off Orencia until I figure out how to get this crap straightened out. It was just startiing to work, too, not good or great--but it was helping some. More than anything else I have been on to date has, and I was told the schedule is strict because being late, even a little, causes the Orencia to not work as well.
