Dr. Bob and Psychobabble.
Many have tried to change his mind of "his rules" explaining that his blocks are abusive and too long for a mental health support site. Member participation had dramatically dropped because of unreasonable rules. Rules that needs pages of explanations of how they work. He uses his site for research, telling us he will tell us of the "experiment" when the research is done, but nothing has been ever said. If a poster doesn't word things in exactly the right way, they get blocked from the site. One poster said the word "fart" and got blocked for a long time.
After he knows my childhood torture and abuse I endured, he has the nerve to post this to me below. I may have had an abusive past, and just because I am calling him out on his abusive ways, doesn't mean I am projecting anything from my past on him. I don't have to have an abusive background to see his abusive ways. Abuse is abuse and someone of his educational background, someone who trains other T, should be ashamed of talking to anyone this way. This just shows you how self-centered some psychiatrist's can be, even if they aren't your own therapist! The only chains I need to free myself from is site's like his and owners who like to project themselves into my past. I find it funny that professionals can use the term of "transference" to explain our feelings for their unethical behaviors) They totally don't see themselves as doing anything wrong.
If he wants to call himself a psychopath, like my mom, and a rigid authority figure, than I guess maybe he is seeing the light of himself.

It isn't ME who needs to free myself from anything, it is HE how needs to quit acting like a rigid authority figure with his site. Now he claims he doesn't offer advice as a psychiatrist on his site, but what would you call this kind of statement... How civil is this(according to HIS rules? )
"Your experience here sounds like your experience at home as a child. As if I were Dr. Mom. I hope you can free yourself from this chain of rigid authority figures,
Bob"
What a bunch of psychobabble.... I think I am going to puke....
There should be ethical guidelines for people in the mental health field who run support sites . Most are good professional people,(like Dr. John and this site) but the public needs to be protected from those who use their power (in whatever way) to hurt people. There are many quacks in the mental health field, one needs to be very careful of those kind of people.
